Abunai, is best described as a living fantasy world held once a year.

A lot of cosplayers, people who dress up as their favorite character, come here and play their roles together with teammates, friends and model for photographers.

I was here both as a cosplayer myself, as I was as a photographer.

Honestly, I have never been to Abunai before and I was really exited going there. I made an outfit for it together with a friend of mine, and met some amazing people.

Abunai is held for all the comic fans, anime-, manga-, movie- or game fans. It’s rather big and it’s held on three days. Usually the friday, saturday and sunday somewhere near the end of August.

Since I had never been there, I didn’t know anyone there. And really, no-one. The saturday I was there in my own outfit, it just took about ten minutes before someone dressed from the same game recognized me and we started chit-chatting. They had a photoshoot with more of that group around 11 o’clock. Sounded cool, but my own planned shoot was at 1 p.m. So I wasnt able to stay too long. But the people I met there, that day, with same interests. Same humor and all. Was a lot of fun.

I had shoots with a Final Fantasy group, someone from Vocaloid, another small group of cosplayers and a ‘Special Cosplayer’ who did the cosplay act. All the cosplays were so beautifull. But I’m really happy with this final one. The light was amazing, his outfit was amazing and he told me in the end he was very happy I was his photographer. That just touched me. It’s always great to hear people appreciate you and your work. But I’m  sure you also need to be fun to work with. Don’t say the wrong things to other cosplayers around you. Everyone works hard on their outfits and no matter how it looks. It just takes a lot of time. So these people are so proud of their outfits, and showing them off. It was my first cosplay event to photograph. I was thrilled to hear a compliment like this.

If you want to see some more photo’s of this event, just let me know. I will share a secret link with you. I will also be attending at Tsunacon. However, I do not know yet if I’ll be there as a photographer. I also want to have some fun with my cosplay this time heh.

I know this blog isn’t all that professional. And I’m sorry for that. It has been a long time, hasn’t it? It has been pretty calm lately, but now the questions are rolling in again. I have quite some couple shoots planned, a baby shoot came in today and a lot, and just a lot, of portfolio shoots. So enough material is comming up!

I’m starting again. Busy with finding new models, new make-up artists and new hair-stylists.
So if you are one; and you just might be interested, let me know, I’m sure we can arrange something.

Keep an eye on the ‘People’ catagory aswell. It will be updated very soon with some brand new shots.

Keep Updated, It’s just getting started.~
